Winter Weekends
From January to early March we offer winter weekends at camp. During these weekends groups can enjoy the amenities of camp at night while spending their days enjoying our local area. Seven Springs and Hidden Valley ski resorts are just 15 minutes away and lots of guests will spend their days skiing and then get to come back and enjoy dinner and a night around the campfire.
Guests can also spend their weekend enjoying camp activities. Between karaoke in the rec hall, winter sports and trail walking there is lots to do. If there is snow on the ground camp makes a great spot to spend a day sledding.
School Groups
We host many school groups from our local community at camp. Some schools bring a whole grade level to do a field day, other schools bring groups of students for community service days or to spend a day off having fun in camp. Some come for one day, others stay over for an entire week. We work with each school to customize an experience that works for them and their needs.
Schools have the opportunity to customize an activity schedule for their time at camp. A stay can be education-based where students learn about outdoor skills, plants and creatures that live in our lake, and the animal life in our woods. Other schools like to take advantage of our physical activities and spend the day on our zipline/rockwall, fishing, swimming, archery and so much more.
Whatever schools choose to do with the students to bring they are guaranteed to have a good time exploring all camp can offer.
Weddings
If you are anything like us here at camp you can’t get enough of our beautiful views – which makes for a picture perfect wedding location. Wedding parties here at Soles have the opportunity to spend an entire weekend with us celebrating with guests for multiple days! Guests stay over in our rustic cabins and when they are not taking part in wedding festivities they have the chance to try all the activities camp offers.
Ceremonies have taken place at our friendship fire circle, others overlooking Lake Tris. Once the ceremony is over our Lodge makes the perfect spot for cocktail hour and dinner and at the reception weddings usually dance the night away in our lodge or make use of our covered outdoor rec deck space.
No matter what people are looking for when they come to get married at camp we know they are sure to start of their marriage with some fun and adventure!
Rental Groups and Retreats
We have mentioned lots of specific groups we have at camp but many creative rental groups don’t fit into the categories. Camp Soles offers an opportunity for imaginative retreat ideas. We have hosted volunteer groups, soccer clubs, cancer support groups and many more. Soles is happy to welcome people from local and faraway locations to come and have fun, memorable experiences.
Open year-round, we book day trips, weekends, and week-long stays for groups of all ages. We can accommodate groups of 30 up to 200 overnight.
