Camp Soles is a Monarch Waystation
Monarch watch has a mission to help preserve and develop habitats for monarch butterflies. Milkweed is a butterfly breeding area in North America and so important to the lifecycle of a butterfly.
Camp Soles joined Monarch Watch and became registered as a monarch waystation saying we are committing ourselves to the mission of providing milkweed as a habitat for butterflies.
When you come into camp you will see multiple milkweed plants like the one on the picture and during spring and summer we have a strong community of monarch butterflies. Coming into our camp office you will also see our official monarch waystation sign showing our goal to help maintain this species.
